Revelation
God making Himself known.
At the centre
The Bible can feel difficult to approach, especially when you are unsure where to begin or how its different parts fit together.
BEGIN THE JOURNEY THROUGH SCRIPTURE.
01 - Understand
One library.
One unfolding story.
The Bible is not one book written at one time. It is a collection of writings formed across centuries, written by many authors, and originally given in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.
Scripture is not just information.
It is invitation.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.
02 - See the Story
One story from beginning to end
The Bible contains many books, people and events, but they belong to one unfolding account of God creating, redeeming and restoring His world.

At the centre
The Scriptures bear witness to Him.
In the written word, God has spoken.
In Jesus, the living Word, God has come near.
03 - Know the Structure
One Bible. Two Testaments. Many kinds of writing.
The Bible’s books are arranged into broad groups according to their literary form and place within the biblical story. Understanding this structure makes it easier to know what you are reading and how each book contributes to the whole.
Begin with the whole
Select to reveal the structure of Scripture
Every book has its own purpose, but together they bear witness to one unfolding revelation of God.
04 - Choose Your Route
Choose the path that meets you where you are.
There is no single place everyone must begin. Choose a route based on what you want to understand, how much time you have and where you are in your journey.
Begin with one of the Gospels and meet Jesus through His life, teaching, death and resurrection.
Read selected books that trace the Bible’s wider story from creation to new creation.
Start with accessible books that establish core Christian beliefs and everyday discipleship.
Follow a structured plan through all sixty-six books at a manageable and consistent pace.
The goal is not simply to finish a plan, but to know God more deeply through His Word.
Your next step
Make room for the Word.
Bible reading is not a test of how much you can complete. It is a regular practice of listening, learning and responding to God through Scripture.
A steady ten minutes each day can be more formative than an ambitious plan that is quickly abandoned.
The goal is not to finish a plan. The goal is to meet with God.
A simple rhythm
Three ways to begin well.
Set aside a realistic part of your day when you are most likely to read without rushing.
Attach Bible reading to a routine you already keep, such as breakfast or your evening wind-down.
Notice what the passage reveals about God, people, faith and the wider biblical story.
What does this show me about God, and what response does this passage invite?
Pause to pray, record what stood out and consider how the passage should shape your life.
Write one observation, one question and one way you can respond.
Choose your commitment
Begin with a pace you can sustain.
Each plan offers a different level of commitment. Choose one that fits your current season rather than the plan that sounds most impressive.
A short introduction to Jesus through selected passages from the Gospels.
The most important step is not choosing the perfect plan. It is opening the Bible and beginning.
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
